Galderma has provided me with the opportunity to move from Galderma Canada to Galderma UK and work in what is arguably the centre of the business world. Our focus on the patient has made for a good relationship with the many functions within the NHS. The environment of rapid change, aligned with our major customer and the government's vision of health care provision, makes for an extremely dynamic and rewarding business experience. There is a strong sense of knowing that what we do makes a difference. The treatment of dermatology is improved because of our contribution to their condition.

I joined Galderma UK just over five years ago, and in that period of time I have seen us grow into one of the top dermatology companies in the country. As head of marketing it is my responsibility to maintain the highest standard of communications between our customers and us.
At Galderma UK we believe in working in partnership with our customers, providing them with the right information that enables them to develop professionally and provide better care for their patients.
From a personal point of view, what makes my job most enjoyable is the camaraderie amongst colleagues, and ability to know when to work hard and when to relax as a team – as such, the Galderma Character has earnt tremendous respect and trust amongst the healthcare professionals that we deal with.

When I joined Galderma in 1999, I joined as a part time receptionist as whilst my Daughter was young, this fitted in with my life. During my time with Galderma, as my personal life changed, I was able to progress from Receptionist to Secretary to the General Manager, then to P A to the Managing Director and then to HR Officer. I am currently working towards HR Management with my Development Plan, which kind of says it all for me, about how I view Galderma as an employer. With a universal Appraisal and Development Plan format, employees are encouraged to excel in their current positions and grow and develop into the areas that they aspire to and with the arrival of the internal Job Vacancies section on the intranet, the world of Galderma is our oyster!

Since joining the UK Regulatory Affairs department two and a half years a go, my Galderma journey has provided me with countless exciting opportunities and challenges, and I truly believe that in that time I have developed as a person, not literally but in a professional and personal capacity. This is due in main to the support from my peers both in the UK and abroad who I consider not only to be colleagues but my friends. I have also learned many valuable lessons in my time here, not least that science requires organised knowledge but wisdom leads to an organised life. The first I have mastered, the second, I 'm still working on…now where did I put my car keys...

I joined Galderma in 2004 as the Company Accountant and have really enjoyed myself so far! The accounts office is extremely busy and has been through some challenging changes, however the working environment has remained positive and everyone is happy to multi-task in order to meet varying deadlines.
During my time at Galderma I have been allowed to expand my role and have found myself being involved in things which are personally challenging, which has been a great experience for me.
It is so good to know that the company allows it’s employees to expand their knowledge and experiences within their fields, whilst juggling their work priorities.
